Peyton's Story

The day began like an average day for the Myers.  Robert Myer was visiting family on False River with his two sons, Peyton and Preston.  While there, they helped a relative clear their yard by picking up debris and burning trash.  Once the fire had begun, there was a sudden explosion while Peyton was near the burn pile. 

In that moment, their lives changed forever.

Peyton was rushed to Baton Rouge General's Burn Unit to receive immediate care.  In this video, you'll hear from Robert on his son's recovery and how the General's Burn Unit saved Peyton's life.
